WRITER/DIRECTOR

Sofie is going through filmmaker puberty.

Her recent directing work is primarily coming to terms with her bodily functions, including a series of musicals about living in Los Angeles: MY FIRST NIGHT IN LOS ANGELES, about a girl learning self-love while crashing in her friend’s living room, and MY WORST NIGHT IN LOS ANGELES, about needing to poop while on a Hinge date; and an upcoming horror short, LOVE IS A FIRE, about an acidic yeast infection. She’s a born and bred New Yorker, based in Los Angeles, with extremely strong opinions about bagels.

Her work’s been recognized by the New York State Senate, where she was honored as a Woman of Distinction.

ACTOR

Celina Bernstein is an actor and artist from Paris, France based in Los Angeles. As an actor, she has starred in dozens of short films and appeared in live performances in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Recent projects include the short films Black Boy Suffering is a Mood, and Love is a Fire. Celina particularly loves collaborating with those who have a unique perspective on art & what it’s like to be a human being. She loves taking on emotionally intense roles, as well as hopeful, joyous characters. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art and Theater from Wesleyan University.

ACTOR

At the tender age of 34, Kenny knew that he wanted to work in movies. So he jumped in his DeLorean punched 1998 into the time circuits and 1.21 “Jigowatted” himself back to middle school. Once there, he secretly mentored his younger self through middle school and guided him in his pursuit of acting. From this risky time jump, Young Kenny made his way onto a Boston-based PBS show called Zoom. After serving two seasons on that show as a series regular, Young Kenny went on to work in many feature film productions, behind-the-camera, including spoof movies, action blockbusters with Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler and Oscar Nominated films and such. Young Kenny has now reinvigorated his love for acting and has started working with his current producing partner Kipp Tribble. He is acting in and directing feature films. And producing features under his company banner KAYJ Entertainment.

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Matt Kleppner is a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 2018 with a degree in Film Studies and American Studies. He holds a special affinity for intimate, naturalistic photography and for stories that foreground issues of personal and national identity.

Matt is currently a cinematography fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory.

PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Shane Bannon is a Director and Production Designer based in Los Angeles by way of San Francisco. His work focuses on characters who seek connection in a world that encourages isolation. His first short film played at festivals including Another Hole in the Head, his childhood favorite genre festival. He graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Film and Creative Writing.

PRODUCER

Ishi Metkar is currently a junior executive for Marvel Studios, before which she was a creative associate for Onyx Collective and worked to tell POC focused stories. She likes to rock climb and is a native New Yorker who can be found getting into heated arguments over Pizza and Bagels.

Russell Goldman is a producer, writer and filmmaker. His previous shorts have played at festivals across the world including HollyShorts, Portland, Cinequest and Frameline.
